1994 PBR Bud Light Cup
 World Champion

Adriano Silva Moraes was born on April 20, 1970 in Quintana-SP. He rode in his first rodeo in February 1988 in Domelia-SP. In September of 1990, Adriano won his first big prize, and from then on he started taking part in rodeos all over Brazil as a classified bull rider. In 1991 he was invited by a World Champion (Charles Sampson) to participate in rodeos in the United States.

In 1992, Adriano won the Brazilian championships. In November 1993, Adriano won his second Brazilian Championship and obtained his first sponsor to the United States, Frigorifico Anglo.

In 1994, Adriano won three of the best titles, among others: PBR World Champion, Calgary Champion in Canada and NFR Champion in Las Vegas, NV. Adriano was the third man in history to ride successfully all 10 bulls in the NFR, which got him into the Guinness book of records.

In 1995, Adriano started the year winning, but got a muscle sprain in April that stopped him from going through the year.

In 1996, he won the NFR again. In 1997, he was the leader in the PBR’s World Championship’s when in August he had his leg broken by a bull while helping a friend prepare for a ride in the chute. Even not able to compete for the rest of the year, Adriano was PBR’s vice-champion. In 1998, he broke his leg again and lost the rest of the year. In 2000, Adriano went just 50% of the World Championship in order to go on with the Project Rodeo with Christ in Brazil, and finished the year in fourth place.

In addition to Brazilian and American Championships, Adriano is a teacher at “Flavio Junqueira” rodeo school in Olimpia-SP. He teaches the course in “Bull Riding Techniques”.

With Adriano’s agenda completely full, his priority is the project “Rodeo with Christ”, which aims at evangelizing people in rodeos. Along with his family (his wife Flavia, and his sons Jeremias and Antonio), Adriano Moraes keeps his track of victories following a motto:

“Work, faith, and humbleness.”

Congratulations to Adriano Moraes for Winning the 2001 PBR Bud Light World Cup Championships!
