Saddle bronc riding, known as the classic event of rodeo, originates from the past when old time cowboys used this method to break and tame wild horses. Using a braided bronc rein held in one hand and graceful balance in the saddle, the cowboy must complete the ride by spurring over the shoulders of the horse each and every jump. Though very difficult, a great bronc rider can make this look very easy. From the original wild west show to the modern day rodeo, saddle bronc has always been a part of the American cowboy tradition and will remain in a class of its own. We hope to celebrate this tradition with our "Classic Ride". Click the thumbnails to the right to view a larger photo of each bronc rider. The item number is listed below each rider. Please have item number ready when placing an order. |
